What to expect during an appointment:

The relationship between therapist and client is crucial to successful therapy. An initial intake session helps Heather develop an individual treatment plan in cooperation with her clients. Additional sessions will be recommended based on diagnoses and the treatment plan. Heather's approach to therapy is eclectic and varies based on client needs. Her treatment emphasizes a Solutions-Focused Perspective and draws on ideas from Family Systems Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and an Ecosystems Perspective. Most therapy sessions are one hour in length and may include the client and/or the family. Heather accepts many insurance plans; please call to learn more.
